Hardware
Finding “Linux-Compatible” hardware can sometimes be a challenge. Not because Linux lacks support for various hardware platforms, but because hardware manufacturers don’t always provide the specs necessary to tell whether a specific component should be compatible. This is primarily true with PC manufacturers like HP and Dell. Most of their hardware is compatible, but since they don’t sell Linux as an option on most of their PCs it’s sometimes difficult to identify if all the components in the computer are compatible.
Below is a list of PCs that I have personally verified to work with Linux along with any notes that may be relevant:
