Compaq Presario V2000

I purchased the Compaq Presario from CompUSA and have been pleased with it ever since. Most everything works without issue and if you’re in the mood you can even tune it for high performance.

Special Notes

Solid device, but the wifi adapter continues to be quirky because it’s not natively supported. You have to use ndiswrapper or the newest (2008) Broadcom driver. Other than that it works perfectly except of course for the Dial-up modem. It also does support 64bit installations, but I have only used 32bit distros on it so far.
