Special Notes

I installed Ubuntu 7.10 on this PC. It installs in the DEFAULT configuration and recognizes all onboard devices. You can enable 3D effects with the Intel GMA adapter.

If you want to upgrade the graphics you CANNOT boot this device without the original video adapter (the on-board) being enabled and set as the default. Windows WILL boot fine, but Linux will kernel panic if you set the primary video adapter as PCI. I was able to get two PCI video adapters to work in conjunction with the onboard but the 3D effects did not function. In the end I had a very usabled TRI-head display system with the only negative of not having 3D rendering, which for a web development box is not a big deal.

Onboard sound, video, media card readers, and ethernet adapter all worked by default with both Ubuntu 7.10 and Ubuntu 6.06 LTS.
